RYJAC was commissioned to provide a Server Consolidation Study and worked with the CFO, CEO and IT staff to provide a highly scalable, virtualized environment utilizing IBM xSeries Servers, VMWare, a SAN Solution utilizing IBM GPFS, Quest Provision Networks and Thin Clients for the Desktop virtualization project. RYJAC engineers designed the solution with features that will allow the client to reduce the budget by over $300,000 per year and increase uptime by 1000%. A new Native American Casino being built on the East Coast required a quick solution to its Financial, HR and Payroll ERP implementation and needed expertise in the  setting up and running of an IBM Power system running i5/OS. The economic downturn may be hammering many small businesses, but it is not impacting the growth of their data storage requirements. Tearte is replacing Andy Monshaw, who was named general manager of sales and operations for IBM Japan.

…The shift is just part of the normal shuffling of IBM executives that happens every January or February, said Mitch Kleinman, president of Ryjac Computer Solutions, an IBM solution provider.

“IBM shuffles them around to different posts to help them understand the business,” Kleinman said. “It’s the best way for them to learn as they go up the corporate ladder. It’s actually a good thing.” …
